Yes, it is possible to turn the lights off on the LED wheels. The lights are controlled by a magnetic spacer in the center of the wheel, so all you need to do is remove one bearing to expose the spacer, pull the spacer out, and then put the bearing back into place. Removing the spacer will not impact the wheel's performance at all. Each wheel is controlled individually by its own spacer, so you will need to do this with all four wheels to shut off all the lights.

To remove the bearing, pliers or a flathead screwdriver will work best, but you can use the allen wrench that came with the base kit or even the end of a pen to get it out. Just angle your tool against the inside wall of the bearing and tug it towards you to pop it free.
